What?

The University of Minnesota Extension, The Minnesota Forestry Association, the Metro Chapter of the Minnesota Forestry Association and the Chisago SWCD are offering 45 hours of tours, hands-on activities and training through the Woodland Advisor Education Program. Funding for this program was received through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources State Forest Stewardship Committee.

Why?

  • Develop a community of woodland owners who can advocate for private forestland
  • Develop individuals that can answer neighbors’ questions about woodlands and where to go to get help on specific projects

  • Promote healthy forests, protect and improve water quality
